Redesigning touristic product of prefecture Evros on the basis of sustainability
The ICT project has been presented at the "GreenSpots" project conference in Alexandroupoli, Greece

The action plan for the development of cycling routes in the prefecture of East Macedonia and Thrace -especially in the cross-border area of Greece and Bulgaria in the area of Southern Evros- that is being created under the framework of South East Europe (SEE) Programme “Sustainable mobility along the newest Eurovelo Route, the Iron Curtain Trail (ICT)” project was presented in the one day conference of “GreenSpots Innovative and Environmental Friendly Network for the Development and Promotion of Enterprising” project in Alexandroupoli. The presentation of ICT project and action plan was carried out on Tuesday, July 2nd by Mr. Giorgos Farfaras, responsible of National Eurovelo Coordination Center for Greece.

“GreenSpots” project that is funded by “European Territorial Cooperation Programme Greece–Bulgaria 2007-2013” aims the touristic development of the territory through the exploitation of its environmental storage. Representatives of administration institutions such as the National Park of Evros Delta, the National Park of Dadia-Leukimi-Soufli Forest, the Environmental Educational Center of Soufli, the Ethnological Museum of Thrace, the Institution of Art and Tradition of Thrace, the Chamber of Evros as well as the Agrinet Network who participated in the meeting, presented their views on the reformulation and redesign of the touristic product of the territory.
